Not a lot of history - seems Frank was killed in a logging accident at a young age. Lyle was raised along with his younger brother and sister by relatives Aunt & Uncle ______________________________.

Lyle attended Oregon State University graduating in ____________________________.

He joined the Army and served during WWII.

He met our mother, Gig Krautkramer on a blind date in New York City and married soon after.

After being discharged from the Army, he worked as an engineer for a few companies in New Jersey, Dayton Ohio and Indianapolis Indiana before moving to Palos Verdes (Los Angeles area) to work for Hughes Aircraft and Howard Hughes in 1959.

From Hughes, he was recruited by a couple other companies, before starting Jakus Associates from our house in 1964, after his first hear attack. In early 1965 he landed a good size contract with the Naval Electronics Lab in Point Loma, San Diego. After settling into this contract and leasing office space at 3725 Talbot Street, he moved the family from LA to Point Loma into 3124 Zola Street.

Jakus Associates expanded rapidly between the start in 1964 until his untimely death on November 9th 1973 - just shy of his 53rd birthday. At that time the company had moved to larger headquarters at 2805 & 2815 Canon Street) also in Point Loma plus opened remote offices in: Falls Church Virginia, Corona California, Vallejo California, Honolulu Hawaii and Kaneohe Hawaii. The business had grown from 1 to 125 employees in lest than 10 years and was showing no signs of slowing down.
